An exciting opportunity has become available for a Staff Specialist Anaesthetist to join a supportive and progressive multidisciplinary team at a large regional base hospital in Northern New South Wales.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time (or part-time considered) position within a busy Anaesthetic Department providing services across a wide range of specialties, including:

  • General surgery
  • Orthopaedics
  • Obstetrics & gynaecology
  • Emergency surgery
  • Paediatrics (depending on experience)

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality perioperative care, supervising junior medical staff, and contributing to clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • FANZCA or equivalent
  • Specialist registration with AHPRA, or eligibility via the Expedited Specialist Pathway or Area of Need Pathway or Specialist Pathway (with the ANZCA assessment outcome - Substantially Comparable)
  • Demonstrated experience in a broad range of anaesthetic procedures
  • Strong commitment to teaching, clinical excellence and patient safety
