A metropolitan New South Wales mental health service is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to provide locum coverage within their Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC) and Emergency Department (ED) mental health team.

Service Info

This role is based within a Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC) / Emergency Department setting, delivering acute mental health assessment and short-term management for patients presenting in crisis.

The service works closely with emergency medicine teams, ambulance services, and community mental health teams to provide rapid, coordinated care and ensure appropriate patient flow.

• Provide rapid psychiatric assessments in an emergency / crisis setting
• Support risk assessment, triage, and short-term management planning
• Work collaboratively with ED clinicians and mental health teams
