Locum Consultant Psychiatrist - Older Adult

A regional Western Australian mental health service is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to provide specialist support within their Older Adult Mental Health team.

Service Info

This is a full‑time consultant role working across an established Older Adult Mental Health Service, providing psychiatric assessment, treatment planning, and clinical leadership for consumers aged 65 and over, or younger individuals with age‑related cognitive or functional decline.

The service includes a multidisciplinary team comprising mental health nurses, allied health clinicians, medical officers, and support staff. The consultant may be required to review new referrals, conduct comprehensive assessments, support care‑coordination planning, and provide guidance on complex presentations involving cognitive impairment, mood disorders, psychosis, and behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia.
