Staff Specialist in General Medicine, NSW

Global Medics are exclusively partnering with a large Local Health District in northern New South Wales to assist in filling a permanent Staff Specialist/Consultant in General Medicine role.

Duties include:

• Providing contemporary comprehensive Specialist General Medicine services at the primary facility and other facilities where applicable for optimal patient outcomes delivering a healthy community through quality care.
• Providing clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

The hospital is a medium sized regional facility with emergency services. It provides diagnostic and health services that includes General Medical with Palliative Care, Women's Care Unit, Intensive Care and Coronary Care Unit, Paediatric Unit, Renal Unit, Surgical Services, and Hospital in the Home where patients are admitted to hospital but treated in their homes.

Requirements:

• Fellowship of the relevant Royal Australian Medical College or equivalent
  * Specialist AHPRA registration or eligible to attain (Substantially Comparable)
