A regional hospital in QLD has an opportunity available for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist for their inpatient unit.

Service Info:

The AAMHIU is a 33-bed acute inpatient service located at The Townsville Hospital and is a RANZCP accredited training facility. It also has 4 Pre-Discharge Satellite Unit beds based in the community. The AAMHIU delivers assessment, treatment and care services in both a low dependency unit (25 beds) or in the high dependency unit (8 beds) We have 3 psychiatrists providing clinical leadership to the AAMHIU multidisciplinary team. Each consultant is allocated a full-time registrar and junior doctor support. This service has an excellent embedded teaching program which supports RANZCP Consultant CPD requirements, including weekly Peer Review, Case Conference and Journal Clubs.

Rates:

Up to $2,800 per day
