+ Can I Work as a Locum NCHD in Ireland?
After being pre-screened and selected by Global Medics, the full process may vary from the moment you send us your CV to your first day in Ireland. This timeline can be as short as possible or as long as necessary, depending on IMC registration, document collection, hospital interview dates and visa processing. Our team works closely with you to keep everything moving smoothly and to prepare you for each step.
+ What Are Stamp 4 and Stamp 1G Visas?

Stamp 4 allows you to live and work in Ireland without needing an employment permit, giving you the freedom to work with any employer or take up locum roles.

Stamp 1G is typically granted to those who have completed studies or are transitioning from a Critical Skills Employment Permit, and may also allow locum work depending on individual circumstances.

Doctors who begin their career in Ireland on a Critical Skills Employment Permit or General Employment Permit may become eligible for Stamp 4 after two years of continuous employment in eligible posts (e.g. SHO, Registrar, Consultant).
