Salary: $147,981 - $189,092 pa (depending on experience)
We are currently looking for an Emergency Medicine Registrar to join a busy hospital in rural Queensland. The doctors working hours will be 8am to 10pm on Monday to Friday, Saturdays from 8am to 5pm, Sundays 9am - 5pm, and 9am - 1pm on public holidays. The successful registrar will be exposed to all aspects of emergency care including all kind of minor and major trauma, Paediatric, Indigenous Health, and can offer 6 months ED and 6 months non-ED training as it is the only specialist hospital in the area. Apart from the base salary mentioned, the position also offers a $5,000 relocation package, accommodation and remote retention allowance of $17,250 once they're for over 6 months.
Seeing over 29,000 patients per year, you will be working with a large team of diverse doctors, nurses, and other allied health professionals. They have visiting specialists' services including but not limited to cardiology, flying obstetrician, neurosurgery, genetics, reconstructive surgery, radiation oncology etc. Allied health services such as dietetics, medical imaging, dentistry, pathology, pharmacy, physiotherapy, podiatry, and speech pathology are all available locally. They currently serve a large mix of different demographics such as young families, trauma victims, and indigenous patients
