Position: Senior Medical Officers (Rural Generalist)
Type: Permanent Part time, Full time
Specialities: Anaesthetic Team, Pre-Admission Clinic, High Dependency Unit
Location: Rockhampton Region, QLD

This position will rotate on a regular basis between two hospitals to provide Anaesthesia and Rural Generalist support to the region. It will also require the participation in the out of hours on call roster. The first hospital has 70 beds, and the second hospital has 25 beds.

The role of this position is to provide safe, high qualify Anaesthetic clinical services to the hospitals and assist in the provision of direction, service planning, and clinical governance to the Anaesthetic Team, Pre-Admission Clinic, and the High Dependency Unit.

Selection criteria:
Fellowship of either The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) to enable registration as a Specialist in General Practice with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or equivalent. Joint Consultative Committee on Anaesthesia (JCCA) required.
