We are currently looking for a permanent GP to join a well-established family practice in the Wide Bay area of Queensland. The position is flexible and can be either full-time or part-time. The doctor will typically work 8 hours per day and will need to work 1-2 Saturday mornings per month from 8:30am to 11:30am. The doctors are supported by a team of 5 Receptionists, 1 RN, 1 EEN, the Practice Manager and an Admin Assistant. The salary is 65% of billings for a Vocationally Registered GP and 60% of billings for a Non VR GP.
Established in the mid 1990's, this family practice prides itself on being a quality healthcare provider that offers a diverse range of medical services. They put their patients first and aim to provide a professional and comprehensive level of medical care. The Principal GP has over 35 years of local experience and the clinic currently has approximately 3500 active patients on record. The practice offers a wide range of general practice services as well as onsite allied health services like psychology, diabetic educator, dietitian, exercise physiologist and sleep apnoea services. Additionally, there are a range of other allied health services nearby including pharmacy, dental, and radiology services. There is also an onsite Pathology Collection Centre.
With a population of approximately 30,000, this town is situated just three hours from Brisbane on the Fraser Coast which is known for its boating and fishing. There are many historical buildings to see in the town and some great scenery inland. The town is close to Hervey Bay where there are great family beaches, whale watching and one of the closest boat and charter service area to Fraser Island. The town offers excellent facilities including shopping centres, schools, pubs, parks, cinema complex, skate park and medical care. The town is also known for hosting regular community events like markets and live acts. There is plenty of accommodation available with home prices still very affordable for the average person with rental prices steady. Tourist accommodation is also plentiful with an abundance of caravan parks, motels and hotels.
