Salary: WA Award + Package
Start Date: July or August 2020
We are working with a hospital in regional Western Australian to find RMOs for the remainder of the training year. This position is open to candidates with General Registration who are looking to gain further experience in rotations.
This hospital is known for the being a major hub for public health services in south western Western Australia, offering health care for around 60,000 people across the Great Southern region. Boasting a $170.4 million redevelopment project, this hospital provides 31 same day and 81 overnight beds. Under the redevelopment project, the ED department has expanded to include seven additional treatment bays, resuscitation bays and a short-stay observation unit as well as its own 24/7 entrance for fast access. Furthermore, the redevelopment has also provided more mental health beds and upgraded maternity services. In addition, this hospital also includes three operating theatres, a high dependency unit and a cancer centre.
Situated along the rugged coastline of south western Australia, this location offers a charming city steeped in early colonial history, including convict and settler history, which is still on display today. There is plenty to keep you occupied in this stunning location, such as swimming and kayaking at pristine beaches or exploring parts of the Bibbulmun Track, which is one of the world's great long-distance walking trails, which takes you through towering forests and tranquil farmland and along wild beaches. Right on your backdoor step is the gateway to the Great Southern Wine Region, which has a reputation for quality wine production which rivals its more famous Margaret River neighbour.
Experience needs to be at least PGY2 with General AHPRA registration with no supervision required.
