-Actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace.
-Uphold principles and practices of Health Service's Health and Safety Management System in accordance with legislation and industry standards.
-Proactively manage patient feedback, attend peer review audits, monitor care outcomes.
-Provide ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals.
-Maintain good communications with all areas and disciplines within the Mackay Hospital and Health Service.
-Investigate and prepare reports and other documentation, including those concerned with complaints by patients and other relevant practices.
-Ensure comprehensive, accurate and concise medical records are maintained for all patients for whom responsible.
-Participate in educational activities to ensure you maintain the appropriate skills and qualifications.
-Attend to patients in accident and emergency as required at the hospital.
-Conduct a daily inpatient ward round.
-Undertake on-call responsibilities on rotation with the MSPP when not in attendance at the hospital.
-Attend outpatients and inpatients during on-call periods.
-Provide supervision and/or direction to junior medical staff.

Qualifications & Requirements:
-Medicine degree from a registered tertiary institution and;
-Appropriate registration with the Medical Board of Australia with a current annual practising certificate
-Demonstration of or working towards FRACGP, FACRRM, FARGP or equivalent and ALS2 or equivalent
-Proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association.
