Position: SRMO Paediatrics
Location: Western NSW
Salary: As per NSW State Award
Contract: Full-Time

This position offers twelve months experience in acute Paediatrics. The objective is to offer a 12 month post providing broad experience for a trainee wishing to develop a base line practical skill set in paediatrics. The post would suit those wishing to pursue a career in Paediatrics, General Practice or Emergency Medicine and will give you the best possible introduction to Paediatrics.

Prior Paediatric experience is helpful, but not mandatory. At the start of the Paediatric rotation, the trainee will be taught advanced neonatal resuscitation skills, so that they are capable of resuscitating newborns and attending deliveries - initially supervised, but eventually on their own

The Trainee will be given responsibilities and opportunities for autonomous practice commensurate with their experience, but is expected to be first on-call for Paediatrics, with Consultant support 24/7.

This hospital is located in the Central West region of NSW with a population of approximately 39,000 people. Just three and a half hours from Sydney, the city is one of Australia's leading wine growing regions, boasting a number of renowned vineyards as well as offering a vibrant musical and theatrical scene and is a fixture for touring international and Australian theatre and orchestral companies. The hospital is very much at the heart of the town, and new staff will find themselves welcomed by a friendly, cosmopolitan community.
