The Position:
We are currently assisting a health service in Queensland to find several RMOs for the 2020 training year. This role has rotations available in the following specialties: EM, Medicine, Palliative Care, ICU and 0&G.
The Hospital:
This hospital and health service are known for its supportive culture and it provides health services to an area of approximately 300,000 square kilometres. It is responsible for the promotion of health and wellbeing for the population in this area. Itis a Level 4 base hospital and has 80 beds. It is the main referral hospital for the North West QLD area with several smaller hospitals referring their more complex cases here. Due to the large area it services, the hospital/health service has a range of services, including ICU, Paediatrics, O&G, Palliative Care along with many visiting services.
The Area:
With a population 20,000 people, this regional city is known as the oasis of the outback. It is the largest centre in outback Australia and is home to one of the most productive mines in the world. Known for its supportive community, it has regular sporting events and the largest rodeo competition in the southern hemisphere. Situated in the Selwyn ranges, this town is perfect of lovers of the outdoors, with regular fishing competitions, stunning sunsets and spectacular 4-wheel drive tracks. There are daily flights to Brisbane, Cairns and Townsville along with rail and bus services.
Eligibility Criteria:
Current Registration with AHPRA
Limited or Provisional registration with at least Level 2 supervision
Eligible for registration through the Competent Authority Pathway (UK, Ireland, US, Canada or NZ).
