Position: Rotational RMO
Contract: ASAP - January 2021
Salary: QLD Award
We are currently assisting a health service in Queensland to find several RMOs for the 2020 training year. This role has rotations available in the following specialties: EM, Surgery, Medicine, on-call and possible sub-specialties.
These positions are across several hospitals in the region including a 300-bed referral centre and two smaller hospitals. As one of the sites of the University of Queensland Rural Clinical Schools, this hospital is actively involved in the teaching of medical students. Their focus on growing their own medical workforce has resulted in an active Medical Education Unit which places a large focus on Registrar training. This health service provides a wide range of services, including, EM, General Medicine, Cardiology, Nephrology, Palliative Care, Mental Health, Rehab, Geriatrics, Paediatrics, General Surgery, ENT, Urology, ICU, Anaesthesia, O&G and Orthopaedics, among many more.
This region is approximately 600km from Brisbane. There are regular flights to Brisbane which only take one hour. The city is one of the oldest cities in Queensland and has a population of over 80,000. It is the industrial and agricultural centre of the north and is also a large tourist destination due to its proximity to the coast. If you are looking to get a taste for tropical Australia this is an amazing location to have as a base. This region boasts some of the most pristine beaches found anywhere in the world.
