Position: Orthopaedic Surgeon
Start: ASAP

Salary: VIC Award + generous package

The Position:
We are assisting one of the hospitals in regional Victoria to find an Orthopaedic Surgeon to join their team. In this role you will involved in inpatient and outpatient care and participating in the on-call roster. The surgical team currently consist of 2 Orthopaedic Surgeons, 5 General Surgeons and 1 ENT Surgeons. Additional surgical services in Vascular, urology and ophthalmology are provided by fly in/fly out surgeons. The team are supported by Registrars and HMOs.

About the role:
This hospital provides acute services for many specialities including, medicine sub-specialties, surgery, O&G, Paediatrics and Oncology. It has teaching relationships with both Monash and La Trobe University. The hospital has approximately 160 beds. There are two 24 bed units, 3 operating theatres, and endoscopy suite and a 16-bed day unit. It is the main trauma centre in the region and provides retrieval services.

About the location:
The hospital is based in a beautiful regional city in Northern Victoria. This city borders three states and has its own domestic airport, making travel to Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney quick and easy. Known at Victoria's Food Bowl, it is responsible for the majority of grapes and oranges grown in the state. Located on the Murray River, this city is a hub for watersports, paddlesteamers and boat cruises. With regular community events and festivals (including an annual hot air balloon championship), this city will allow you to experience regional Australia at its best.
