Position - General Medicine Registrar x3
Location: Northern NSW
Salary: As per State Award
Contract: 2020 training year
The position is designed for PGY3+ doctors who will provide high quality medical services to the hospital and health Service.
- Provide day-to-day medical care for patients at a level commensurate with the level of clinical experience and under the supervision and direction of more senior medical staff.
- Demonstrate appropriate progression toward more independent medical practice, with concomitant development of clinical knowledge, skills and behaviours required for safe medical practice.
This hospital provides care for over 12,500 patients each year and has approximately 25,000 presentations annually through its ED. This medium sized hospital has a 23-bed medical unit which provides care to General Medicine and Palliative Care patients. It is also home to one of the rural clinical schools of the University of New South Wales giving you the opportunity to be involved in teaching.
Located on the banks of the majestic Clarence River and only 50km to the stunning coastline of northern NSW, this rural city has a lot to offer. With its beautiful tree-lined streets, this city has become known as the Jacaranda City and has an annual festival each year to honour these beautiful trees. There are several islands in the Clarence River that divides the city, including Susan Island, a nature reserve which is home to a large colony of flying foxes. From tropical rainforest to beautiful surf beaches, there will always be something new to explore in this city.

- General Registration with AHPRA or
