Position: General Medicine - Unaccredited Trainee

We are currently seeking Unaccredited Trainee - General Medicine for the main hospital on the Central Coast of NSW. In this position you will provide efficient and high-quality clinical care and rotate through different roles under supervisions of their consultants in some of the following areas: ICU, General Medicine, Geriatrics, Medical Assessment Unit, Cardiology, Emergency, Nights with relief in Respiratory, Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology and Medical Oncology
The main public hospital is a 300+ bed regional hospital on the Central Coast, NSW. It is an acute major metropolitan hospital providing inpatient, outpatient and emergency services to residents in the northern part of the NSW Central Coast. It has approximately 300 inpatient beds and provides a range of medical and surgical services and rehabilitation. Speciality services include Drug and Alcohol, Renal, Coronary Care, Stroke, Mental Health and Cancer services. It is anticipated that this hospital will further develop its role as a district general hospital for a growing population with well-established patient transport and referral links for patients with a need for more complex or intensive clinical services.
This location is positioned between Sydney and Newcastle, with a population that is expected to grow from the current approximate 330,000 to 450,000 before 2030. This location is a popular destination for holiday makers and retirees but is also a growing centre for day commuters into Sydney, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. This location boasts of beautiful beaches, magnificent national parks and pretty waterways with fun adventures and wonderful attractions, from water sports to bushwalking, mountain biking, whale watching and marvellous wildlife sanctuaries.
To be eligible for this role, you should;
1. Hold AHPRA General registration and have local Australian clinical experience; or
2. Have medical experience gained in either UK, New Zealand, Ireland, US or Canada; and
