Position: General Medicine Physician
Contract: Permanent, Multiple positions
Salary: TAS Award + generous package
In this role you will be providing high quality clinical services to the local population. The Medicine team at this hospital consists of seven General Medicine Physicians who offer services in General Medicine, Respiratory, Geriatrics and Stroke Medicine. In addition to this, a new purpose-built rehabilitation ward is currently being built at one of the hospitals in this region. The Medicine Department is accredited for Level 1 Basic Physician Training, and also receives trainees on secondment from larger hospitals in the region. It is also accredited for 12 months General Medicine Advanced Training. There may be an opportunity for a conjoint university appointment with the university in the region.
These hospitals are also home to the Rural Clinical Schools for the University of Tasmania, giving you the opportunity to be involved in teaching of all levels. The region has 250 beds across both hospitals and provides secondary level care to the region. To be eligible for this role you will need to have your FRACP in General Medicine. If you have been found substantially comparable by RACP, we would also like to hear from you.
