Position: Advanced Trainee - Clinical Haematology
Location: Tasmania
Contract: 2020 training year
Salary: TAS award

The Position:
We are currently assisting one of the hospitals in Tasmania to recruit General Medicine Advanced Trainees for the 2020 training year. This hospital is accredited for 12 months Haematology Advanced Training. In this role you will be participating in the day-to-day management of private and public inpatients and outpatients within the hospital and wider region. As this hospital is a university hospital and accredited for BPT training, you will be encouraged to be involved in teaching of all levels.

The Hospital:
The position is based at a 300-bed hospital in beautiful Tasmania. The hospital treats over 24,000 inpatients a year, and over 225,000 outpatients. Home to one of the Clinical Schools for the University of Tasmania, this hospital is accredited for teaching by many of the Australasian colleges. It is involved in many research and innovation projects.

The Location:
This riverside city is home to a population of over 80,000 people. This city is known for its spectacular architecture, food and wine making it a lively tourist centre with tourist numbers increasing steadily in recent years. It is home to several museums and galleries meaning culture is alive and well in this regional city. As Tasmania is known as the 'natural state,' there is also no shortage of outdoor activities to enjoy.

Eligibility:
To be eligible for this role, you need to have General Registration with AHPRA and be eligible for Advanced Training with RACP.
