Position: Consultant Anatomical Pathologist
Location: Tasmania
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Salary: Tasmania Award + Generous package

The Position:
In this role you will be providing excellent clinical services to the patients of this hospital and region. You will be required to provide services in anatomical pathology, cytopathology and post mortems. This will include the diagnosis, treatment and care of both inpatient and outpatients. As this is a teaching hospital, you may also be required to be involved in teaching of junior doctors and medical students.

The Hospital:
This position is based at a 300-bed hospital in beautiful Tasmania. The hospital treats over 24,000 inpatients a year, and over 225,000 outpatients. Home to one of the Clinical Schools for the University of Tasmania, this hospital is accredited for teaching by many of the Australasian colleges. It is involved in many research and innovation projects.

The Location:
This riverside city is home to a population of over 80,000 people. This city is known for its spectacular architecture, food and wine making it a lively tourist centre with tourist numbers increasing steadily in recent years. It is home to several museums and galleries meaning culture is alive and well in this regional city. As Tasmania is known as the 'natural state,' there is also no shortage of outdoor activities to enjoy.

To be eligible for this role, you must have be a FRCPA in Anatomical Pathology or have trained in a Competent Authority country (UK, Ireland, Canada, US or NZ).
