This hospital has 183 beds and provides care to one of the most remote regions of Australia. The hospital is affiliated with both Flinders University (in South Australia) and Charles Darwin University (in Darwin). Due to the remoteness of this hospital, many of the admissions are from aboriginal people so knowledge of indigenous health and inequities is important.
