Position: Intensive Care - Registrar/PHO
Location: Wide Bay QLD
Salary: $105,377-$122,176 per annum
Start: August 2019
We are currently organising interviews for an Intensive Care - Registrar/PHO for one of the hospitals in Wide Bay, Queensland. This position will provide clinical services to the clinical unit, including ward rounds of acute patients, attend clinics and attending emergency cases in the Intensive Care Unit, upon referrals. You will also be responsible in supervising and supporting interns/JHOs/SHOs attached to the clinical unit, including participation in assessment processes if requested.
The 200-bed hospital is the main referral centre for the region. It has recently undergone a major redevelopment of approximately $50 million which is provided the hospital with new beds, improved rehabilitation services, a new Emergency Department, Maternity Unit and Special Care Nursery. This hospital provides a wide range of services, including: ICU, Coronary Care, O&G, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, EM, and many others. They also have comprehensive Mental Health and Allied Health services. It is also home to one of the Rural Clinical Schools and is well supported by the two private hospitals in the city.
This picturesque and modern city had a population of approximately 45,000. Situated in the heart of the Queensland's sugar fields, this city is also known at the southern gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and is famous for the turtle colony nearby. Just 15 minutes away from this city is the beautiful Coral Coast which is home to stunning beaches that are perfect for swimming, surfing, snorkelling and fishing.
