We are currently organising interviews for a Medical Registrar - Basic Physician Trainee/ Internal Medicine a hospital in Central VIC.
As the Medical Registrar - Basic Physician Trainee you will be on a rotational program through general medicine, neurology, cardiology, oncology, hospital in the home, rehabilitation and palliative care. Each general medical unit has a sub specialty focus but will see a broad range of general presentations
This hospital is RACP accredited as a level 2 training centre, and each of general medical unit has a sub speciality focus but will see a broad range of general presentations.
As one of the largest regional Hospitals in Central Victoria, this Health Services comprises of a 200-bed base hospital, a 70-bed sub-acute care centre and a 60-bed psychiatric service. It is also the principal referral hospital for the region and is a major training site for the University of Melbourne and Deakin Rural Clinical Schools. From January to March this year, the Hospital had approximately 11,000 patients admitted, 4,000 of which came through the emergency department.
Located 1.5 hours North West of Melbourne, this regional town has a population of approximately 100,000 people with the greater region being home to approximately 230,000 people. The location has excellent access to Melbourne, either via car or train to Southern Cross Station. The location has excellent property values, established houses, vacant blocks to build on or even farm or forest acreage, just 15 minutes out of town. There are excellent public and private schools, child care centres, recreational and sporting facilities, shopping, entertainment and cultural pursuits.
To be eligible for this role, you should have General AHPRA registration. Must be enrolled in speciality program training with RACP.
