Position: Consultant Geriatrician
Location: Coastal Queensland
Salary: up to $392,000 package
This role offers you the opportunity to use your extensive clinical knowledge, skills, experience and leadership experience. In this role you will be providing high quality clinical and non-clinical services to the population of this region. You will be joining an established medicine team which has good junior support. This team is accredited for 12 months basic physician training. This hospital is home to one of the medical schools for the University of Queensland giving you the opportunity to be involved in the teaching of medical students.
The role is split across two sites which work closely together to provide high quality care to the region. They are only 20 minutes apart. Site 1 is an acute 142 bed facility that has recently undergone a redevelopment. Site 2 also provides a number of services and has recently undergone a redevelopment to refurbish their ED, renal unit and rehab unit. These two hospitals offer a wide range of services including inpatient and outpatient care. The hospitals have accredited teaching positions for EM, BPT, Paediatrics, ICU, Anaesthetics and O&G.
The position will be based across two sites, one in the whale watching capital of Australia, and the other in a city known as the heritage city.' The area is one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. It is located approximately three hours north of Queensland's capital Brisbane and is known as the Southern gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. The region offers different types of activities, including, snorkelling, surfing, fishing, and swimming. The area offers a laid-back lifestyle set in a healthy environment. The region offers a wide range of events and festivals for you to enjoy, as well as a number of other attractions throughout the year.
