This base Hospital is a main referral centre and is located in a beautiful coastal destination just north of Sydney NSW.The hospital offers a wide range of specialty services, including an active oncology service in the adjacent Cancer Centre and is affiliated with the University of New South Wales rural clinical medical school, which is also located on the hospital campus.
There is also a district hospital which has onsite CT, plain and ultrasound radiology services, and a pathology service. These are available 7 days a week, however are 'on call' after hours.
The area boasts of 17 gorgeous beaches, a lush hinterland, a diverse variety of attractions including the koala hospital, billabong zoo, river cruises, whale watching to camping by the beach. The area has one of the best year-round climate and is a very popular holiday destination.

Roles will provide quality clinical care within the Emergency/Critical Care setting at the Base Hospital, 2 district hospitals.
The Base Hospital is staffed with Emergency Consultants 0700-2330 providing direct supervision; 2330-0700 supervision by Advanced Trainee or CMO with consultants available on call.
District Hospital is staffed with Emergency Consultants 0800-1630 daily providing direct supervision. 1630-0800 supervision by Advanced Trainee, CMO or GP VMO with consultants available on call.
What you need to be considered:
Current AHPRA registration or eligibility for registration via the competent authority
Previous Emergency Medicine experience
