We are currently recruiting for FACEM for this Emergency Department in the western suburbs of Melbourne.
The Hospital is an acute and sub-acute teaching hospital with approximately 600 beds(including Mental Health beds managed by Health Service). Has a range of services including a new intensive care unit, cardiac care services, women's and children's services, surgical, medical, mental health, aged care and rehabilitation services.
The Hospital's emergency department, including a paediatric service, is one of the busiest general emergency departments in Victoria. Maternity services at the Hospital has the third largest number of births of any hospital in the state. It continues to grow to meet the increasing demand within the community. The annual attendances total 65,000. Thirty per cent of these patients are children (16 years and under). The department is a mixed urban district ED, seeing both adults and children across the whole range of emergency conditions. With an obstetrics and gynaecology unit and treats women's health conditions.
Applications will have:
-Current authority to practice as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) / Medical Board of Australia.
-Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine other specialist recognition as provided for in the Staff Specialists (State) Award or other specialist recognition
