This subregional health service, a major provider of health and aged care services are currently recruiting across SMO and CMO's. Serving an immediate population of approximately 42,000, the health service reaches to a wider community for more specialized services such as perinatal services, critical care and surgery.
The acute services include a full-time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, operating theatres, day procedure unit, and oncology and dialysis services. In addition to general medical and surgical services and sub-acute services including rehabilitation.
The ED treats approximately 16,000 patients per year with support from speciality teams in General Surgery, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Anaesthetics. Onsite pathology and medical imaging are available including Nuclear Medicine and MRI. A variety of visiting specialists provide surgical services and community consulting in ENT, Ophthalmology, Minor Orthopedics, Upper GI, Urology, IVF, Paediatric Surgery, Renal and Vascular Medicine, Cardiology, Medical and Radiation Oncology and Dermatology.
Senior Medical Officers and Career Medical Officers who thrive in the Emergency Department (ED) to provide patient centred, evidenced based to the community. Positions are ideal for rural GPs with emergency care experience or senior HMOs looking to step up to CMO supported with an individualised onboarding and capability development plan. You must have the capability to lead the shift and supervise interns and junior HMOs.

- General Registration with AHPRA and with clinical and solid experience in providing emergency care in an ED or acute care centre is required.
