We are looking for an innovative Palliative Care Physician to join a hospital in Western NSW. This role has a lot of scope to grow and would be perfect for a clinician looking to grow their leadership experience whilst working in an well supported hospital and team.
We are arranging interviews for a suitably trained Palliative Care Physician to join a team at a large base hospital in NSW. As a Palliative Care Physician at this hospital you will be providing high quality care, direct clinical management, education, operational oversight, and strategic direction for the specialist palliative care services operating within this community and surrounding communities. You would be working closely with non-specialist providers of palliative and end of life care within these communities to provide seamless palliative and end of life care; and to build capacity for end of life care.
This hospital is currently undergoing a major transformation with a budget of $150 million. Comprising of four stages, stage three has just been completed and stage four is due to be completed by 2020. This hospital is home to one of the rural clinical schools of the University of Sydney. Western NSW Local Health District is one of the largest Local Health Districts in NSW. They deliver innovative health services to approximately 260,000 people residing in rural and remote parts of the State.
Located in the transition zone of the Great Dividing Range and Darling Basin, this city has a population of approximately 55,000 people. Known for its lamb and vineyards, the paddock-to-plate philosophy is alive and well in here, making it a food lover's dream. It is also home to the open-range Taronga Western Plains Zoo, which is known for having hundreds of animals in large, open style exhibits. For those who are more adventurous, the Macquarie River which runs through the city is known for offering various water-sports including kayaking and fishing.
