Job Title: Locum Consultant in Anaesthetics
Location: University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, United Kingdom
Contract type: Locum (temporary)
Contract duration: 6-12 months (with potential for extension)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Hours: Full-time (10 sessions per week)
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced locum consultant in anaesthetics to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative management, and postoperative care.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing specialist clinical care for patients requiring anaesthesia
* Participating in the on-call rota for anaesthetics
* Providing supervision and teaching to junior medical staff, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
* Contributing to clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
* Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
* CCT in anaesthetics or equivalent
* Substantial experience in anaesthetics
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
