Global Medics is supporting a Mental Health Service to find a General Adult Psychiatrist to provide locum cover between June and October this year.

The service operates in a semi-rural township on the East Coast of the North Island and supports a population of approximately 200,000 people. This secondary level, 400 bed hospital is a modern facility with a comprehensive range of surgical, medical, oncology, radiological, and psychiatric services.

Providing locum cover for this service will see you being a part of a multidisciplinary team, working in a community setting alongside nurses, psychologists, social workers, and other psychiatrists.

This service needs locum cover from late June through to late October; The service understands that covering this period in its entirety may not be feasible for some and is open to hearing from anyone who can provide cover during any point over the mentioned period.

Flights, accommodation, and a rental will be provided to those that can assist.

Essential Requirements:

- You must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand, or eligible for registration.

- If you are an overseas applicant, you must be eligible to apply for a relevant work visa.
