Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine - Perm/NSW(G)

An exciting opportunity is available for a Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine to join a busy and supportive Emergency Department within a well-established regional hospital in northern New South Wales.

The Role

This permanent position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic Emergency Department managing a broad case mix, including:

• Acute medical and surgical presentations
• Trauma and resuscitation
• Paediatric emergencies
• Rural and regional emergency care

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care, supervising junior medical staff, and contributing to teaching, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Fellowship of ACEM (or equivalent)
• Specialist registration with AHPRA, or eligibility via the Expedited Specialist Pathway or Area of Need Pathway or Specialist Pathway (with the ACEM assessment outcome - Substantially Comparable)
• Strong clinical and decision-making skills
• Commitment to education, patient safety, and continuous improvement
