Locum Consultant Psychiatrist - General Adult (Inpatient)

A Queensland health service is seeking a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist to provide specialist support within their General Adult inpatient mental health unit.

Service Info

The Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit (AAMHIU) is a 33-bed acute inpatient service located at the Townsville University Hospital. It also has 4 Pre-Discharge Satellite Unit beds based in the community. The AAMHIU delivers assessment, treatment, and care services in both a low dependency unit (25 beds) and in the high dependency unit (8 beds). We have 3 psychiatrists providing clinical leadership to the AAMHIU multidisciplinary team. Each consultant is allocated a full-time registrar and has junior doctor support. Our service has an excellent embedded teaching program which supports RANZCP Consultant CPD requirements, including weekly Peer Review, Case Conference and Journal Clubs.

$2,300 per day
