The Role

As an ICU Registrar, you will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality critical care services within a busy Intensive Care Unit. You will work collaboratively with Consultants, junior medical staff, and allied health professionals to manage a diverse and complex caseload.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessment and management of critically ill patients
  • Participation in ward rounds, multidisciplinary meetings, and clinical handovers
  • Performing ICU procedures under supervision
  • Contributing to teaching, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Participation in an on-call roster

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered, applicants should meet the following:

  • Medical degree recognised by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Eligibility for general registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum 4 years postgraduate experience, including critical care exposure
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to high standards of patient care
