New Zealand’s southernmost city, Invercargill, is considered the capital of Southland. You will be a generalist and most likely be considering training, or are already training, as a Physician through the RACP. In return, you will be exposed to considerable general medical training that will provide you with the learnings that will allow you to successfully pass your part 1 and 2 exams.
If you are already an advanced trainee, Southland hospital are accredited to take you through general medicine training.
As part of a small, but dedicated, team, you’ll have excellent access to your team consultant and the Director of Training, plus unrivalled opportunities to experience any of the varied presentations to the hospital. With weekly teaching and Grand Rounds, journal clubs and regular RMO forums you’ll be continually supported in your development.
It is expected that you will have a minimum of 2 years post graduate medical experience.
