We have a dedicated marketing department, we advertise on our website, Facebook page, local paper, in the local University newsletter and with flyers in the local community.
How long has the practice been open and when was it established/by whom (owners etc)?
Since November 2014, established and owned by UFS Dispensaries solely.
What is the reason for your GP vacancy?
Current GP is retiring, he is 74 years old.
Are you a mixed, bulk or private billing practice?
Mixed. Approx. 70% are pension, health care card holders or children under 16. All other patients are privately billed.
Opening Hours/Staff Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm, full-time practice coordinator and practice nurse, visiting allied health, on-site pharmacy and pathology.
What will the Doctor’s typical working hours be per day?
8:30am to 5pm.
Do you open at the weekends?
What other staff work in the Practice? (For example nurses, receptionists, Practice Manager)
1x Practice manager, full-time practice nurse, visiting Podiatrist, Dietitian and Psychologist. On-site pharmacy and pathology.
What are the afterhours arrangements?
No after-hours required unless the GP would like to work 1/20 weeks at a Saturday clinic at our Doveton Street practice from 8am to 12:30pm and they receive a share of the after-hours PIP as an incentive.
Are you able to take on a GP who requires supervision and if so what level of supervision can be offered?
No, this will be a solo GP position.

What allied health services are available locally?
Podiatry, physiotherapy, psychology, EP, massage therapists, dietitian.
Does the practice look after nursing home patients, and will the new doctor need to undertake this as part of their role?
Yes, the current GP has a number of patients in local nursing homes. The new GP will preferably take on these patients.
How many FRACGP/FACRRM doctors work at this practice?
1 other FRACGP GP works at this practice to cover sessions when the solo GP is not working (i.e. Tuesday pm and Thursday pm).
What is the population of the area?
Do you look after patients from surrounding areas?
Yes, surrounding suburbs.
What is the typical patient social demographic of the area?
Young families through to aging patients.
How many patients do you have on your practices records?

60/40 of on-site, 90/10 of off-site (incl. nursing home patients)

No, the role comes with a full patient base.
What is the average income a VR or NVR GP can earn per year?
VR $300,000.00 and non-VR $200,000.00
Are you happy to take on a non-VR/AON GP? If so, what are the supervision level is available at your practice?
Does the practice provide assistance with relocation, accommodation, use of vehicle until the Doctor is settled?
Reimbursement of location expenses, such as economy flights, reasonable removalist costs, 6 weeks furnished accommodation, assistance with spousal employment and school registration, and a $20k relocation incentive.
